The Leland Lodge

The Leland Lodge is nestled in the heart of Leelanau. The area is known best for the Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore, M-22, wine tours, beautiful beaches, and scenic nature hikes. The Nicholas Hotel was first built and opened in 1909, and has remained a favorite for food, lodging and cheer ever since. The uplifting spirit in the lodge lasts even through hard times; in 1926 the lodge burned to the ground and was reconstructed the following year. For over 100 years, good cheer starts here.
