Warehouse District Rising! Join us for the inaugural Workshop Block Party!

There’s so much awesomeness happening in The Warehouse District- from a beautiful pedestrian bridge over the Boardman River, to a brand new pedestrian-friendly Garland Street, to terrific new businesses opening up- we just had to throw a party right in the street!

Our Block Party celebrates the renaissance of our neighborhood; hence the name Warehouse District Rising.

We’ll start the event with our own warehouse-style “ribbon cutting” ceremony, the roll right on through the evening with friendly neighbors enjoying local food, drink, and music.

Uplifting local multi-instrumentalist brotha James kicks off the tunes on our outdoor stage at 5pm. Next up will be Turbo Pup, maestros of fun-filled folk funk at 6:30. Closing out the evening from 8:30-10pm will be Traverse City’s very own: The Accidentals! Do not miss this!

The event is open to all ages (under 16 get in free with a paying adult), and your ticket price includes a token for one of The Workshop’s famous craft beers (or, if you prefer, a cider, wine, or Northwoods Soda). Buy tickets online or in person at The Workshop or other participating merchants in the Warehouse District.

Blackbird Arts aims to try out their new mobile screenprinting unit- look out for the chance to print your own souvenir “Warehouse District Rising” coaster! Bay Area Recycling for Charities will help as we aim for a zero-waste event. BARC, FLOW (For Love Of Water), and Blackbird Arts will benefit from event proceeds.

Some of our neighboring businesses will also have special sales and other events on the day. So come experience the Warehouse District Rising- a super fun way to round out your summer!
