About This Event

The Music House Museum is proud to welcome organist Andrew Rogers accompanying Mel Brook’s Silent MovieSaturday April 26 at 2:00 and 6:00PM

Silent Movie is a 1976 American satirical silent comedy film co-written, directed by and starring Mel Brooks, released by 20th Century Fox in summer 1976. The ensemble cast includes Dom DeLuiseMarty FeldmanBernadette Peters, and Sid Caesar, with cameos by Anne BancroftLiza MinnelliBurt ReynoldsJames CaanMarcel Marceau, and Paul Newman. It is an affectionate parody of slapstick comedies, including those of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. The film satirizes the film industry, presenting the story of a film producer trying to obtain studio support to make a silent film in the 1970s.

The film will be accompanied by Andrew Rogers on our ‘Mighty’ Wurlitzer theater organ. Rogers, a Detroit native, is an organist at the Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor. He also scores and performs silent films and performs concerts throughout the U.S. and Internationally.

Tickets are $25.00 online at MyNorth Tickets or musichouse.org or $30.00 at the door. Please visit musichouse.org or call 231-938-9300 for more information.
