The Music House Museum is happy to welcome Steve Stargardt and Crispin Campbell in concert on Saturday, March 4th, starting at 7:00PM, playing Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and other selections from The American Songbook.

Steve Stargardt Graduated from the College Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati with a B.M. and B.S. degree He was an Educator for 48 years. Music teacher, middle school math, middle school counselor, elementary school principal. He Taught Jazz workshops, adjudicated jazz festivals and mentored jazz pianists. He gave Private lessons in both classical and jazz improvisation. Currently Steve is active in performance with many local jazz musicians.

Crispin Campbell’s musical style reflects his individuality. In a typical performance he makes seamless transitions from Bach cello suites and Beethoven sonatas to Sun Ra and Django Reinhardt, earning him the label: “A musician who defies categories”. In June 2018 Crispin left his position at Interlochen Arts Academy after 38 years in order to pursue his diverse musical interests more fully.  He has two new recordings from 2019, “The River Under the River” with poet Michael Delp, and “About Time” music for cello and jazz trio, with pianist Steve Stargardt, bassist Jack Dryden and drummer Randy Marsh
