About This Event

The Music House Museum is the perfect setting for an evening of original and classic tangos intimately presented and passionately performed. Featuring music of Astor Piazzolla and Emmanuel Trifilio, the group’s Argentine bandoneon player and Grammy-nominated composer, plus arrangements by bassist and singer-songwriter Ali Cook, this is the event for serious concert goers seeking insights into the history and music of tango.

QuinTango, a quintet of strings, bandoneon, and piano, has received standing ovations at the White House, Kennedy Center, jazz clubs in Costa Rica and Buenos Aires and concert venues across three continents.

Maestro Trifilio, QuinTango’s Argentine bandoneon player, propels the rhythm section. Bassist Ali Cook adds vocals. The violin section, including founder/violinist Joan Singer, the resident storyteller and MC, supplies warmth and bravura. Together these five musicians conjure a spellbinding emotional energy.

Tickets can be purchased for $25.00 at MyNorth Tickets and $30.00 at the door. Go to musichouse.org or call 231-938-9300 for more information.
