The Music House Museum Presents a very special evening with Damais Pike in "Thanks for the Memories- A Visit with Dolores Hope". The wife of that American legend, Bob Hope, Dolores Hope was a successful singer in her own right. The presentation includes songs from the first half of the 20th Century, as she chats informally about Bob's rise from vaudeville to Hollywood and his amazing contribution to the military.

The “Women of Note” were launched in 1988 when Damaris Peters Pike decided to take her knowledge of music history to the general public by dramatizing women in music. She had discovered in her courses at Hiram College that the best way to understand a historical period was to become acquainted with important figures and their times, and thus was born “The Second Mrs. Bach.” Requests for additional characters led to the preparation of an additional ten characters, ranging from a 12th century nun to 20th century figures like Beverly Sills, Dolores Hope, and Doris Day.

A native of Vernon, Texas, Mrs. Pike earned the Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and the Master of Music in Voice Performance from Kent State University. Professor of Music Emerita at Hiram College where she founded the Opera Workshop and also directed the Hiram College Madrigals and College Choir, she continues to teach two courses each year and direct the Hiram Women’s Chorus. She is listed in “Who’s Who Among Women” and “Who’s Who in Entertainment".
