It is harvest time for Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation!
OMPEF will conduct its September community meeting hosted by Chateau Grand Traverse Winery. Harvest is the time of year to celebrate the reaping, gathering and storing of grown products. A perfect time of year to focus on raising money for the new charter school on Old Mission Peninsula, which is set to open in September 2018 in the same building as Old Mission Peninsula School is being housed currently. Donations will go towards start up costs for the new charter school, including purchasing curriculum, obtaining new security systems, phones and technology, training new teachers and everything all the way down to buying pencils and paper for the day to day necessities. OMPEF has a goal of $2 million by January 2018 in order to be successful and remain a strength in the community. This event is just one way people can support the new school, while at the same time enjoying fabulous wine and music by Oh Brother, Big Sister.
Tickets include a complimentary wine tasting, an OMPEF wine glass as well as some nibbles. There will be a silent auction and all proceeds from the event, including wine sales, will go to Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation. 50% of all cases of wine sales on that day will be donated to OMPEF. Please mention the event in order for OMPEF to receive the donation.
Tickets are $50 when purchased ahead of time and $55 the day of the event. All guests must be age 21 and older. This exclusive event is limited to the first 75 guests.
