Passage by Christopher Chen
Interlochen Center for the Arts
February 24 at 6pm
Welcome to Passage, a fantasia inspired by E.M. Forster’s “A Passage to India” uses the theater’s primal evocative powers to examine the most essential questions of our time. Obie award-winner Christopher Chen’s play gently lifts us from our own reality and sets us down in a new place: Country X. Country X has been occupied by Country Y. Chen deftly deploys theatre’s primal powers to “raise questions that make the audience profoundly uncomfortable, but simultaneously creates a welcoming space to which everyone is invited.” (Time Out New York).
Recommended for ages 13 and up.
Play readings will be directed and produced by members of P45's 2022 Resident Company: Sarah Bielman, Katie Clark, Noah Durham Fried, Sara Hartley, Alexandra Herryman, Jeremy Hogue, Micah Mabey, and Kristen Stewart
