"Our Inheritance”

A visual & live storytelling exploration of what gets passed down through the generations.

May 25th | Higher Art Gallery | 6:00 - 8:30 pm

Doors open at 6 PM, stories begin at 6:30 PM. Complimentary lite hors d'oeuvre's & refreshments will be served.

What comes to mind when you think of the word Inheritance? Often it is something tangible which is passed down through the ages from loved ones, a piece of property such as a family farm? Perhaps it could be a job or position in your community? How about your dimples, or your freckles? Is what you have Inherited a blessing or a curse? Could it be a treasured possession such as your grandmother's favorite jewelry which now holds great sentimental value to you? Maybe you inherited your sunny disposition from your father, while inheriting your mother's beautiful singing voice? How are we tied to these things, and how will we pass them on? How do we keep it and honor it?

The Art & Storytelling event is one evening only, however the Artwork for the show is on display at the gallery from May 10th-June 1st.

This event is hosted, curated and produced by Dana Black & Shanny Brooke who have put together a wonderful group of Tellers and Artists for the evening:
