This year marks the 3rd Annual Regional Opioid Symposium held at Little River Casino Resort in beautiful Manistee, Michigan. Speakers and breakout sessions will be available for participants to learn about the current trends in substance use, abuse, and treatment. Vendors will be available with information for clinicians and the general public on treatment and support for those faced with substance use disorders.
The symposium began with a bold idea and has grown to be a recognized asset for opioid and other substance use information and resources for people across the state. The Regional Opioid Symposium is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of individuals from Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Be Da Bin services, Michigan State University Extension, Human Services Collaborative Body. SEA Manistee, and Centra Wellness of Manistee. The noble work of these individuals is apparent in the wealth of resources and services available at the symposium.
The aim of the symposium is to provide support within the community and educate front line staff on the latest treatments for substance use disorders, as well as providing available resources to families impacted by the devastation of substance use disorders.
