Every year we host the young chefs dinner where we showcase the young up and coming talent found in our area. A while back we were talking to Chef Fred Laughlin -who recently retired from his position as head of the Great Lakes Culinary Academia- about the young chef dinner. During our conversation he suggested we do an "Old Chef Dinner" and feature some of, in his words, "old geezer chefs". We thought it was a great idea.
The dinner will be five courses featuring Chef Fred Laughlin, Chef Bob Rodriguez, and Chef Pete Peterson. All three of these chefs are godfathers of the Northern Michigan food scene, and all of the have given so much to the industry. Please join us that evening as we celebrate them.
