About This Event

Join the Traverse City Dance Project for the final performance of three in the newest event in town: the Northern Michigan Dance Festival. The first act features a mixed bill showcasing dancers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Arts Academy and Traverse City Dance Project, accompanied by live music from the Charlie Millard Band. The second half of the program presents Grand Rapids Ballet performing choreographer Trey McIntyre’s Be Here Now—a ballet set to music that captures the spirit of the 1960s and stands out as one of the festival’s highlights. Don’t miss this extraordinary cultural experience, bringing together an eclectic mix of professional dance companies and artists from across the country.

Pre-show music from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM by the Charlie Millard Band.

The public is invited to watch the dancers take ballet warm up class onstage at Milliken Auditorium 10:30 AM to 12 PM(Join at anytime).

Consider also attending Program A on October 10th!
