Based on the real-life Newsboy strike of 1899 in New York City, Newsies is a musical filled with true friendship, loyalty, and grit. Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy with bigger dreams then selling papers and his other homeless newsboys pals, are sick of being walked on after publishing giant, Joseph Pulitzer, raises prices of “The World” at the newsboys expense.
