Richard Sherman, professor of flute at the MSU College of Music currently serves as the principal flute with both the Chautauqua, N.Y. and the Lansing Symphony Orchestras. A few of the symphonies he has performed with are the Chicago, Detroit and Toronto symphonies. In addition to giving master classes throughout the United States (including two of his alma maters, The Eastman School of Music and Northwestern University) he has done so in Australia, as well. Sherman was recently awarded the College of Music’s high honor: The Dortha J. and John D. Withrow Excellence in Teaching Award. Critic Jerry Dublin has been quoted as saying, “I cannot imagine any flutist playing music any more beautifully than Richard Sherman!”

Genadi Zagor, a native of Krasnodar, Russia, is instructor of piano at Michigan State University. Since his professional piano debut at age 10, Mr. Zagor has performed to critical acclaim in recital and orchestral appearances around the world in Russia, Israel, Japan, England, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the United States. In the year 2000, Genadi moved to the United States and became an assistant of Maestro Toradze at Indiana University of South Bend.After completing his Artist Diploma program Genadi had served as a Visiting Artist in the School of Music at University of Northern Iowa for six years. Mr. Zagor pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Michigan State University in the studio of distinguished Professor Moriarty and continues perform with faculty and in Marathon projects conducted by renown author Joseph Horowitz. Critics praised Mr. Zagor playing with phrases such as: "sensational", "nimble- fingered", "electrifying performance" and "superb pianist-walking the fine line between jazz and classical with perfect balance".
