Event Details

This dinner is part of a series focused on a quintessential summer evenings in Leelanau. Held at historic Wood How Lodge in Northport, guests will be treated to an incredible evening of unparalleled hospitality. Wood How was built in the late nineteen teens by Francis Haserot, and took two years to complete. It was built by Native American craftsman and Jamaican immigrants from timbers harvested from the property, and boasts unique construction and masonry techniques. The name "Wood How" was given to the lodge by Haserot's wife Margaret, and means "Wood and Hills" in ancient english. Wood How was a originally a private home and later a horse camp for girls, called Camp Caho. The home and grounds will be one of the focal points for the evening - the other is the food! The dinner menu will be seasonally driven and locally sourced by Chef Jen Blakeslee of Cooks' House and Cammie Buehler of Epicure Culinary. Beverages will be provided by Baia Estate Leelanau and Arbor Brewing Company. We look forward to hosting you for what will surely be a magical evening!
