Based on The Who’s 1969 rock opera. After witnessing an accidental murder, a young boy is so traumatized that he loses his ability to see, hear, or speak. He also ceases to care about life and suffers various abuses until he discovers pinball. Enjoy this timeless story of hope, healing, and the human spirit on its 50th anniversary.
NOTE: There will be STROBE LIGHTS in this performance and, because it features rock music, complimentary ear plugs will be available.
SPECIAL NOTICE: For anyone coming from east of the Boardman River, Eighth Street is now closed between Woodmere Avenue and the bridge just west of Boardman Avenue. Therefore, if you usually take this street to come to the Playhouse, please allow extra time for the detour. For those who live north of Eighth Street, we recommend taking Front Street to Grand View Parkway. You can then turn left on either Cass or Union and come south to Eighth Street. If you live south of Eighth Street, it may be best for you to take South Airport, turn right on Cass, and then drive north to the Playhouse. Call the Box Office if you have additional questions about this detour.
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager and in consideration of those already seated. Should you arrive late, we will strive to seat you at the earliest appropriate time but may have to place you in alternate seats until intermission.
