Hunt for the Reds of October - Weekdays During October

Leelanau Peninsula has become well-known for its Riesling and other cool-climate white varietals and blends. What is often overlooked, however, are the high-quality red wines being grown in the region. To help get beneath the surface, the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail hosts a fun event to explore and discover great red wines of Leelanau Peninsula. The Hunt for the Reds of October takes place weekdays (Monday through Friday) during the month of October.

Tickets are $25 per person and includes a souvenir wine glass and, for the entire month of October, your ticket gets you a complimentary pour at each of more than 20 participating wineries offering diverse red wines: big and bold Cabernet Francs and Merlots, aromatic and spicy Pinot Noirs and many more. After your featured wine tasting, standard tasting fees apply. No refunds, 21+.

Tickets and glasses are available to be picked up at whichever winery you choose to begin at. This is not assigned, but each winery will have the supplies needed, simply provide proof of your purchase and your adventure will begin there.



Due to COVID-19 and the current environment with which our wineries are required to operate we ask that you reference each individual winery’s website you plan to visit or call in advance to ensure clarity about the protocols and procedures to visit. Many wineries along the trail at this time offer or require reservations as well as have restrictions on group size. This ticket does not relinquish you from those requirements. You can find contact and web information for each here at www.lpwines.com/.
