Halloween Concert and Costume Parade

The major work performed will be “The Composer is Dead”, a Lemony Snickets Musical Mystery. This is a fun piece, where each of the instruments is considered a suspect in turn, until the evil one is finally found. It introduces the audience to the various “voices” of the orchestra in a fun way.

In addition, Isaac Wittenberg, the winner of the GLCO’s 2016 Concerto Competition, will perform on piano with the orchestra, and the orchestra will also perform “Danse Macabre” by St. Saens, an appropriately spooky piece for the season.
