Join us on Wednesday, September 12th, for as Patti Travioli, owner of Heartwood Forest Farm, guides us through techniques for extending our growing season!

Patti will discuss the use of greenhouses, hoop houses and cold frames to procure maximum produce from your vegetable garden.

She will also demonstrate techniques for growing microgreens throughout the winter.

There is no fee for this class and donations are requested to support The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park.

This class is open to the public and advance registration is requested.

About our presenter, Patti Travioli, and Heartwood Forest Farm:

Nestled within the magical woodlands of the Leelanau Peninsula, you will find a few sun filled acres surrounded by lush forests. This is Heartwood Forest Farm; where good things grow and bees make honey. We are specialty organic growers of farm cultivated culinary and medicinal roots, shoots, flowers and fruits.

With over 20 years of farming experience, we are happy to be able to grow for you high quality and delicious certified organic vegetables, culinary and healing herbs, as well as beautiful flowers. We also have two acres dedicated to pollinator habitat.
