Join us on Thursday, June 28th from 10:00am - 12:00pm for Authors in the Park Story Time!

Celebrated local children’s authors will read their books to families throughout the grounds of The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park co-hosted with the Traverse Area District Library.

This is a wonderful opportunity for children and parents or caregivers to enjoy stories in the great outdoors. Local children’s authors will be set up in different garden spaces of The Botanic Garden and will read their books for attendees throughout the morning.

Each of the featured authors will be reading their book in a different garden, creating an opportunity for all to explore and discover different areas throughout the park.

• Jeffrey Schatzer will read "The Runaway Garden"
• Polly Cheney will read "Sip, Pick, and Pack: How Pollinators Help Plants Make Seeds"
• JeffrAy Kessler will read "Colantha: A Beloved World Champion Cow"

Miriam Pico will provide music after the three authors read.

Families are invited to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy after story time. Books will be available for purchase in the Visitor Center Gift Shop.

RSVP to our Facebook Event for author and book highlights, reading locations, and more!

This is a FREE event and everyone is welcome to attend! Donations are always welcome and your support helps the Garden grow.
