About This Event
All proceeds from this event, including the silent auction will go towards the continued restoration and preservation of the historic lighthouse and its surrounding property. The historic site and buildings are leased from the State of Michigan and operated by The Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. We are solely funded by donations from our supporters and lighthouses admission fees.
Dinner includes fresh/live East Coast lobster or filet mignon (Burritt's Market, Traverse City), boiled redskins & corn on the cob (local farmer), dinner rolls, pie (Grand Traverse Pie Co., Traverse City) coleslaw, lemonade, beer & wine.
There will be a silent auction. There are two seatings: 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Take-out/curb-side service is at 5:45 p.m. Cost is $100. NEW THIS YEAR! Surf & Turf option: You get a lobster and filet mignon for $130. There are only 200 total tickets available. Tickets are non-refundable. Meet the Organizer
The Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum opened in 1985. Volunteers restored the southern apartment to the 1920's and 1930's time period when the McCormick family lived there. Tour the residence, climb the tower for a spectacular view of Lake Michigan.
