GLCO and award-winning Crooked Tree Arts Center dancers from its School of Ballet on stage at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts October 27, 2019 at 7 p.m. in a remarkable collaboration, featuring a musical vignette based on Edgar Allan Poe’s book, “Mask of the Red Death.” Also featured, Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, which continues to be called one of the “pillars of the chamber music repertoire,” Finally, Ravel’s work, Pavane for a Dead Infanta, belies its actual inspiration: far from about death, the piece is not mournful, but more of fantasy, and could be titled, "Pavane for a Princess from a Faraway Time." Tickets: $25-50, age 18 under Free. Pre-concert talk with Libor Ondras at 6 p.m.

This performance will be at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts.
