Flutist Nancy Stagnitta is a leading crossover artist as both classical flutist and jazz artist. Her passion, versatility, and elegant artistry have led to concert and teaching engagements in Africa, Europe, Asia, and across the U.S. A Powell Artist, she gave the Asian premier of David Amram's "Giants of the Night" Flute Concerto in Beijing.
Pianist Ya-Ju Chuang, an active soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist, has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships in Taiwan and the United States. She was the first prize winner at the Brussels Grand Prize Virtuoso International competition, and the American Protégé International Competition.
Oboist Dane Philipsen is passionate about honoring the traditions, techniques, and musical expression of the American school of oboe playing while allowing space for the evolution of the style through innovation, refinement, and creativity. Philipsen is principal oboist of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and maintains guest affiliations with the Chicago and Detroit Symphony Orchestras.
Clarinetist Bryan Conger serves as Assistant Professor of Clarinet at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to coming to Las Vegas, he was the Instructor of Clarinet at the Interlochen Arts Academy and organizer of the Interlochen Clarinet Intensive.
Bassonist Lauren Murphy is currently the principal bassoonist of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and the contrabassoonist of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. She previously held positions with the West Michigan Symphony Orchestra and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. Lauren has performed with many ensembles throughout her career.
French Horn Corbin Wagner joined the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in early 1979, retiring in mid 2013, Corbin Wagner’s professional performing career has spanned more than 45 years and has included performances around the world. He performed for over 30 years with the Detroit Chamber Winds.
This will be a fully seated listening room style show.
