Alluvion Presents: The NMC Chamber Singers & Canticum Novum Choir Directed by Jeff Cobb

The Alluvion is thrilled to welcome two outstanding vocal groups in one evening:

Northwestern Michigan College Chamber Singers

The NMC Chamber Singers is one of three choirs offered by the NMC Music Department. Chamber Singers is an SSAA group made up of high school students, college students and community members. They perform regularly throughout the Grand Traverse Area and have performed at conferences and festivals throughout the state.

Northwestern Michigan College Canticum Novum

This auditioned community choir began ten years ago under the umbrella of the NMC Music Department as an answer to local singers’ clamoring for another choral opportunity. The singers of Canticum Novum come from varied backgrounds and professions, but all bring to the group their vast experience in symphonic, university, and church choruses. Canticum Novum has appeared on stage with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly around the Northern Michigan area.
