The Mel Larimer Concert Series major work this Fall will be the beloved "Mass Of The Children" by everybody's favorite Brit composer, John Rutter! Performance dates are set for Saturday, November 23rd at 7pm and Sunday, Nov. 24th at 4pm, all in the Sanctuary of the First Congregational Church, TC. This wonderful performance will feature the Grand Traverse Area Festival Chorus and Chamber Orchestra, NMC Grand Traverse Chorale and Chamber Singers, the NMC Children's Choir, and soloists Laura and Keith Brown - all under the baton of nationally known conductor Dr. Henry Leck of Butler University. Dr. Leck is founder and emeritus director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir, one of the most highly acclaimed ensembles of its kind in the world. The Rutter Mass For The Children is about 40 minutes long. The concert will also feature individual performances by Dolce, Bel Canto, Lyric, Ragazzo and Cantus- the outstanding choral ensembles from the Northwestern Michigan College Children's Choir.
