Two outstanding Petoskey fiddlers! Hannah Harris' musical roots include traditional styles from Ireland, Scotland, and the southeastern United States. John Richie has a wide experience with various fiddling traditions honed in his travels across the United States. Work hard, play harder, live, laugh, and join in the fun!
When it comes to musical duos in Irish Traditional music, you will commonly hear one fiddle accompanied by a guitar. However,
life (and music) is full of delightful unconventionalities. We embrace
this spirit as we bring you not one but two outstanding Petoskey
fiddlers!
Hannah Harris has visited Northern Michigan all her
life in the summers and has recently moved to the area. Her musical
roots primarily include traditional styles from Ireland, Scotland, and
the southeastern United States. Like John, she performs locally, sharing
in the communal spirit of the music by firing off a mighty blast of
tunes at Celtic music sessions in Petoskey, Boyne City, and Traverse
City.
John Richie
has lived in Northern Michigan since 2002 and has a wide experience
with various fiddling traditions honed in his travels across the United
States. He has been featured frequently at Red Sky Stage, frequently
playing for the monthly Blissfest Saturday Night Community Dance
