Become part of the maritime sailing tradition by raising the anchor, hoisting the sails, and steering the schooner. While the schooner is under sail, small groups move through a series of learning stations. Each sail is 3 hours in length. Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the scheduled start of the trip.
Please dress for cooler temperatures on the water. We recommend you do not wear flip-flop type shoes.
Guests are welcome to bring water bottles, but no glass and no food, please!
Guests under 18 years old should be accompanied by a responsible adult unless prior arrangements have been made with the office staff before the scheduled sail.
Sessions will be cancelled in the event of high winds, thick fog, or lightning; however, rain and cold will not deter us.
The captain of the vessel shall determine circumstances under which the vessel will sail, rules of conduct, and other matters aboard the vessel. If the captain determines adverse weather is threatening, the following program options will be offered:
1. Cancel the program and reschedule.
2. Cancel the program and refund the entire fee, if rescheduling is not possible.
If bad weather threatens a program in progress, we will return to the dock and finish the program dockside.
Please realize that the value of the program rests with the educational experience and not with the boat ride. We will do everything possible to work around bad weather.
You will be notified by the captain or office staff via e-mail or phone of any changes to the schedule up to one hour prior to the sail.
