Toast the return of summer on Michigan's Wine Coast at the 2013 Traverse City Wine & Art Festival on Saturday, June 22nd from 3-10 pm with 27+ area wineries paired with a diverse selection of artists, restaurants and performers.
This is the one event that brings together nearly all the wineries of our region. It takes place at the gorgeous historic arboretum of the Grand Traverse Commons. Now in its fifth year, the Festival features an open layout that allows you to stroll through a lush collection of fine art and jewelry for show and sale, enjoy snacks or meals from a dozen restaurants and enjoy a diverse mix of performance artists. In honor of our 5th anniversary, we are featuring a 100% Michigan lineup headlined by Sixto Rodriguez, whose story is told in the Oscar award-winning documentary Searching for Sugarman. Rodriguez is joined by Grand Rapids indie/folk band The Crane Wives, The Ben Daniels Band and Blake Elliot and the Robinson Affair.
The 2013 list of wineries who will be in our 10,000 square foot wine tent is still being finalized, but last year's wineries included: 2 Lads Winery, Bel Lago Vineyard and Winery, Black Star Farms, Blustone Vineyards, Bowers Harbor Vineyards, Brengman Brothers, Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery, Chateau Chantal, Chateau de Leelanau, Chateau Fontaine, Chateau Grand Traverse, Cherry Republic Winery, Ciccone Vineyard and Winery, Circa Estate Winery, Forty-Five North, Gill's Pier Vineyard and Winery, Good Harbor Vineyards, Good Neighbor Organic, Leelanau Cellars, Left Foot Charley, M.
