The Music House Museum is an educational institution whose mission is to collect, restore and preserve and demonstrate automated musical machines and related Americana of their era; and to educate all age groups of their significance to music, culture, technology and regional history.

Experience the sounds and history of automated music at the Music House Museum. Recognized on as “One of the ten reasons to visit (Michigan’s) Lower Peninsula”, it is a must see for vacationers. Daily tours of this one of kind collection of rare instruments take visitors on a trip through music history. Hear Gershwin play Rhapsody in Blue on the Weber Duo Art Grand Piano and experience the beauty and grandeur of the 32ft wide, 1922 Mortier Dance Hall Organ and so much more! Guests not only see the artistry and science of these marvels and also hear them play! The Museum is housed in remodeled turn of the century barns complete with parlors, a general store and even a saloon. It is located in the beautiful, orchard-filled rolling hills of Grand Traverse Co., just north of the Traverse City on US 31N.
