More Information

Picture a place where youth engage in unforgettable learning experiences, form lasting relationships with teachers and peers, and gain deep understanding through a comprehensive curriculum in academics, fine and performing arts, athletics, and more.  Picture a place where learning is in motion – where students, teachers and specialists work together with parents and the community to provide relevant and rigorous learning opportunities for all students.

That place is TCAPS!  In partnership with a caring community, Traverse City Area Public Schools has created a place -- where our extraordinary staff and students work together with high levels of collaboration and high quality educational programs. Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) offers a comprehensive PreK-12 curriculum with an enrollment of over 10,000 students throughout a 300-mile geography and nearly 1,300 teaching and support staff. District school facilities include 14 elementary schools (including a Montessori school and an International School), two middle schools, two senior highs, and an alternative high school.
