Since forming in 1981, the St. Louis Stompers have played a mixture of Chicago and new Orleans style traditional jazz and Dixieland, reminiscent of Bix, Jelly Roll and King Oliver.  Pat Arana, trombone; Jack Tartar, drums and ukelele; Dave Majchrzak, piano; Steve Lilley, cornet; Mike Lilley, clarinet; and Dave Zink, sousaphone.  This great band will bring the drive and enthusiasm of smoky back rooms in Chicago.  They bring the original "hot jazz" to a cold night in Traverse City. 

This six piece group has played jazz festivals all over the U.S. and brings an enthusiasm for that peculiarly American phenomenon,  JAZZ.  They know its history and they love its music.  So will you.

Jitterbuggers and two-steppers will appreciate the hotel ballroom's dance floor and live-jazz listeners will appreciate the cash bar.  Make a night of it!
