Featuring Chinese-American celebrity Candace Lee (former chef at Black Sesame Kitchen, Beijing) and well-known Chef Harlan "Pete" Peterson (owner of the former Tapawingo restaurant). Explore Chinese cooking styles and cuisines in a 3-hour cooking demo class that highlights the culture, traditions, and varied flavors from across China. Using the facilities of NMC's Great Lakes Culinary Institute, you'll learn about dumpling making and the construction of several traditional dishes which will be shared by all. Cleaver and cooking techniques as well as ingredients and spices will be discussed and demonstrated. Class size is limited to 30.
