Interlochen Arts Academy students the opportunity to work closely with peer artists to create, plan, rehearse and perform new works of opera theater featuring original text by Creative Writing majors, original music by Composition Majors, and a cast of singing actors from the Opera Theater. The project is enriched by the creative artistry of additional cast and production team members comprised of students from all Arts Academy majors.
This process-based project has allowed students to hone their project planning, execution, communication and effective problem solving skills while learning the similarities and differences among various artistic disciplines, while working together towards a unified and focused creative goal.
