Three Fires Wine opened its tasting room in Suttons Bay, Michigan in
October 2013 offering three white and four red wines made from classic
European vinifera varietals such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and
Merlot. All wines are dry and masterfully crafted in the French style to
be complex, balanced and go well with fine food. Three Fires Wine uses
only 100% Michigan grapes carefully selected from premier viticulture
regions across Michigan and specializes in producing fine red wine.

Nathaniel Rose, the winemaker, grew up in Leelanau County where his
passion for wine was born among the vineyards and wineries on the
peninsula. Rose, a biochemist, not only understands the science behind
fine wine, but also loves the artistry involved in making an

Chef Piombo, known for cuisine prepared with the freshest local
ingredients at Nonna’s in Glen Arbor, enjoys the creative challenge of
designing a menu that marries fine food with fine wine. Chef Piombo’s
was born in New York, but his roots are to Italy where he lived most of
his childhood. After completing his culinary training in Italy, Chef
Piombo traveled the world working in restaurants in Italy, France,
England, Germany, Spain and Brazil before settling in Northern Michigan.
