The 5th Annual Traverse City Wine & Art Festival takes place on Saturday, June 22, 2013, and is the premier celebration of the culture & cuisine of Michigan’s Wine Coast.
In 2013 we are adding a Winemakers Party to the weekend. The Party is designed to be a more intimate affair that will take place on Friday, June 21, from 6-9 PM under the big tent on the front lawn of the historic Grand Traverse Commons.
The Party will feature over 20 of our finest Leelanau and Old Mission winemakers who will each select a single wine to feature. They will be circulating through the crowd and able to talk about the wines with you as you taste the finest Rieslings, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and other varietals and blends that our region has to offer.
This event is designed to showcase the interplay between the food-friendly, cool climate wines of Northern Michigan. To highlight this, we have selected seven amazing restaurants. Each of the chefs will prepare a single, substantial small plate appetizer designed to enhance your enjoyment of the wine and tantalize your palate.
This is the perfect opportunity for lovers of great food and wine to experience the culinary magic that has made Traverse City a national culinary destination.
Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the door. You may also purchase a complete weekend ticket that includes the Winemakers Party and Saturday’s Traverse City Wine & Art Festival for $70. Your Winemakers Party admission provides 8 tasting tickets and 3 small plate tickets. Wines will also be available at a wine bar, and additional wine tasting tickets and small plate tickets will be available for purchase.
Tickets are strictly limited so get them before they are gone!
