Showcase of Inspiration

Be awed and amazed by the mind blowing tricks of Ben Whiting, "Magic Man!" To add to the afternoon of wow, humor, and inspiration, enjoy anecdotes of Rich Brauer, sweet music by Miranda Music of Frankfort, and scenes of a different world with Virtual Reality of Traverse City. And all proceeds directly support COGNiTiON, the new Science and Discovery Center in Beulah, MI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

The Event

Ben Whiting recently appeared on the cover of the Aug 21-27 Northern Express and was featured as one of “20 Fascinating People” for 2017. He is consistently known for being charismatic, mesmerizing, and astonishing his audiences; which is sure to be true of his upcoming appearance in the Showcase of Inspiration.
Blue Bridge Event Center in Interlochen (formerly Frog Pond Village) is the venue. Under new ownership, Blue Bridge has been given a fresh look and is a desirable “showcase” of its own kind.
Another anticipated act in the Showcase is the rich musical talents of Miranda Music's own Bogar Guzman and Elizabeth Guzman-Shrake. One of Benzie County’s diamonds-in-the-rough, the duo will entertain with a rich variety of instruments and sweet sounds.
Appearances by other special guests such as local movie producer Rich Brauer will also delight the audience, making this a unique and inspiring afternoon much like the atmosphere experienced at COGNiTiON!

The Showcase will take place on Sunday, September 17th from 3:00-6:00pm. Tickets are $20/adult, $15/student, in advance (through 9/15), and $25/adult, $20/student at the door. Tickets may also be purchased in advance at COGNiTiON.

While visits to COGNiTiON are for “kids of all ages” please note that this event has been planned for the more mature end of the spectrum, at your discretion.

The Cause

The new Science and Discovery Center, COGNiTiON, opened in downtown Beulah just last January, and is able to boast over 75 member families (from as far away as N. Carolina and Canada) and over 2100 visitors to date. The Showcase of Inspiration is a major fund raising endeavor of this 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. All proceeds will go toward the operation and growth of the center, helping to keep its hands-on exploration and enrichment available year-round for “kids of all ages.” COGNiTiON’s mission is to facilitate learning through time spent in awe and wonder, and to inspire people to investigate the many facets of the world around them. Join the grand and entertaining celebration of the vision and accomplishments of the Discovery Center so far, and help them raise funds towards an exciting future!
